History of residence:
The house was built in 1965, in Newark, Ohio. The current owners and family
have lived in the house since 1999. The residence is a small one story, 2
bedroom house. There where no reported disturbances or significant events
at the address.

Family reports:
The family has reported many paranormal events in the residence. The
owner of the home reported one night, while sitting in the living room, seeing
a dark figure walk from the hall way to the front door. The step daughter of
the owner reported that while baby sitting her niece, which was living at the
residence at the time; they headed into her nieces back bedroom to get a
toy. She said that there was a black, hazy mist hover near where the ceiling
meets the wall. She also said the room was very cold. The mist soon
disappeared as they watched it. The same little girl has also reported seeing
and playing with an old man that came to visit her while she lived there. She
said she was very scared of the old man at first, but they became really good
friends. The family believed the old man is the same spirit that seems to be
located at the residence.

The Investigation:
Our investigation started at 8:00 PM. We first performed a sweep of the house, taking photos and using the
EMF detector to get a baseline reading. We also made note of all electrical outlets and devices. We then
set up one camcorder, on a tri-pod, in the back bedroom that the little girl stayed in. We also put a digital
voice recorder and the static detector in the room. The second camcorder, setting on a ladder, was set up in
the living room. We put the second digital voice recorder and the EMF detector on a shelf in the living room.
Both were in sight of the camcorder. The EMF detector was left on, with the visual alert on and the audio
alert turned off. At approximately 10 PM everyone exited the residence and the equipment was left to record.
At 9 PM, we all entered the residence to reset the digital voice recorders and began investigation again. We
took many photos and checked for changes in with the EMF detector and compass. We then all sat in the
living room and tried using the dowsing rods. With use of the dowsing rods we were able to communicate
with some one by the name of George. George claimed that he was the spirit at the residence and that he
meant no harm. He also signaled that he was the spirit the owner saw in the living room that one night, the
step daughter and niece had spotted in the back bedroom and also the spirit the little girl played with. At
12:00 AM, we started packing everything up and called it a night.
Review of evidence:
The photos taken at the house did not show up much more than dust orbs. We did have a photo with a
bright orb on the floor in the hallway. We believe this was just a reflection of something on or in the
carpeting that night. The digital voice recorder did pick up some strange bangs and other sounds, while no
one is was in the residence. After reviewing the digital voice recorder in the living room, we believe those
sounds were of the refrigerator cycling. The eight hours of video taken between the 2 camcorders revealed
nothing of use.
Conclusion:
We were unable to capture any evidence while at the residence of any paranormal activity. We have a few
photos that contain orbs, however we can not rule out that these are dust orbs. Some of the team also
reported feeling several cold spots in the home. However, we were not able to rule out any heating and
ventilation causes for these experiences. We tried to schedule another time to return but the owner sold the
residence shortly after the investigation.
