Our group was a bit larger this year, as we took 8 investigators rather than 5. I will not recap every thing, if
you want more info, check the MANSFIELD2004 page.
We started off with a tour again this year. We managed to get Scott as our guide again. Our tour lasted a
bit longer than last year due to more questions being asked by people in the group. We were advised that
the infirmary was now open. They had done extensive cleaning and preparation to get it open for the 2005
tour season. We also were told that T.A.P.S. had been at the reformatory a few weeks prior, filming for the
show on SCI-Fi channel, Ghosthunters.
Once our tour was over, we had enough time to go check out Solitary before pizza. We took several photos.
Brad said that he had a strong feeling that something else was down there with us. At one point, he saw a
very bright red orb and tried to capture it on the video camera. However, the orb disappeared when the
camera was pointed at it. The whole mood of the area was heavy. A guard had been bludgeoned to death in
the hole years before. Could it have been the guard, checking on prisoners?

We moved on. But before we could make it to our next destination, Mike was hit with a sever stomach
problem. He refers to it as the IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) Ghost. He spent the next couple of hours,
running back and forth to the restroom.
We made it to the next location, the showers. This was the showers where Amy captured her ghost photo in
2004. We captured a few orbs, but no luck with anything more. There was still the feelings under the showers
of water hitting you.
We headed on to the rooms above the showers. The Jesus Room and the 'room above the Jesus room'. We
did not find or feel anything in these rooms.
On to the library. We forgot to go back to this room last year. There were books and magazines strewn
about. You could hear things moving around you. We did make a nice discovery. A carefully placed set of
dowsing rods. They had been placed on the ground on a newspaper. The light from outside was shining on
them. (How movie-esq)

Moving on, we went to the showers on the other wing. These are the showers that Trevor had such a
negative feeling the previous year, and the ones from Shawshank. Using the dowsing rods. We walked
under the showerheads. They would cross every time we walked under the head itself. The feeling in the
room quickly turned dark, so we headed out.
Administration area, HERE WE COME. We had a truly amazing experience in the administration area
involving the dowsing rods and a ghost named Martha Abigail. Using the rods, she lead us on a tour through
the living quarters. We found her room, and she volunteered to talk with us anytime we wanted. We were
able to find out she was a little girl, over 5, who lived there. We do not believe that she knows she is dead.
Before we knew it, it was 6 am and they were closing up for the night. So we packed up and headed home.
