We arrived around 8pm.  We set up our base in the dining room.  The house was decorated for the holidays with
lots of Christmas trees and ribbons.  It was cold outside, but the first floor of the home was well heated.  The upper
floors were not quite as warm.

Tour
We were given a tour of the home starting on the first floor.  There is a well room, kitchen, dinning rooms,
gentlemen's parlor, office, a bedroom, a bathroom, and John Adams's living quarters.  We continued the tour
upwards.  The second floor consisted of bedrooms and the ladies parlor, as well as a bathroom off of the one
bedroom.  On this floor is the door that used to lead to a balcony over the front entrance.  Now that balcony is
gone and all that remains is a drop to uncertain bodily harm.  One of the stories about the home is that a young
woman, possibly Constance Adams, feel from the balcony to her death and that you can sometimes see her
through the window of the door, standing on what used to be the balcony.  The ladies parlor is one of the rooms
used when you reserve an over night in the home.  There were four double beds in the room.  A few people have
reported while laying in the bed on the right side of the room, closest to the door, that the bed will violently shake.
There is also an entrance into the servants quarters there.  Climbing the stairs to the third floor brings you to the
ballroom.  It is an odd room, taking up most of the top floor, save for the coat closet area and the stairs that lead
up to the cupola.  They say you can hear children playing up in the ballroom, most frequently with a rubber ball.
On our night of investigation, there was not a normal rubber ball, but instead a smaller, harder ball that did not
bounce well, as Trevor would later find out.  There was also a red cross spray painted on the one wall of the
ballroom.  When we asked about it we were told that there was a man who used to break into the house and
sacrifice animals in that corner (this is not the same story that TAPS gave on the Ghost Hunter's show that aired on
April 2, 2008).  Someone later spray painted the cross with the hopes of dispelling the evil that he had brought to
the home.  To the highest point of the home we went, into the cupola.  This was a small room, large windows,
almost ceiling to floor, were on all four walls.  This was used as a look out.  Supposedly George Adams could see
all of his hundreds of acres from this point.  It was an amazing site to see.  For those of you who have never been
to Trinway, it is a small town, the closest town is Dresden, another very small town.  There were no city lights and
you could see alot with your night vision.  We went back down to the second floor and into the servants quarters.
The rooms there were smaller than the rooms in the main living quarters, but were still nice sized.  In one room
people have reported being held down and/or assaulted by what they say is a large, strong, man.  Back down all of
those stairs and then down to the basement we went.  The basement was very large.  There was one room that
had a bricked in circle, which we found out was an old fashioned type of freezer/fridge.  It has a tunnel dug to the
outside, which would be packed with ice, leaving a few inches above the ice clear.  There was a window and when
the wind would blow, it would blow cold air over the food that was kept in the circle of bricks and then covered.  This
is not where the body of Constance was kept as suggested on Ghost Hunters.  This is where their food was kept.
The body, they believe was kept across the basement in another room.  The story of activity in the basement is
that if you sit down there with the lights out you can see bright orbs of a green color fly around.  There are
supposed to be tunnels that lead from the house to the river, however they have not been located in the recent
years.  CORUPT does have a contact who claims to know the location of these tunnels and we plan on making a
trip to the house to try to locate these tunnels with him and the owner.  Our tour concluded at this point so we
headed back to base to start the investigation.  We did not tour the barn with our guide.

Our investigation

The Ballroom

We first went to the ballroom to set up a video camera.  We placed it so that you can see the area where the ball
sits.  We were able to see a large portion of the ballroom.  There was a chalk circle around the ball so we could
see if the ball had moved at any point.  Upon reviewing the evidence, the only thing we found were some odd orb
type anomalies that flew by the camera a few times.  We are not sure if they were dust because you could see the
dust floating around and these were different shaped and moved faster.  However, this could have been dust
moving in an unknown draft.  It could also have been bugs.  We are not able to say that this is proof of anything
paranormal.  Late in the night, early morning hours, Clair, Brad, and Trevor went to the ballroom to try to stir up
some activity.  It is said that you can "call" the spirits of the children by singing nursery rhymes.  After a period of
playing ring around the rosy and trying to bounce the ball, we experienced nothing paranormal.  We decided to sit
and see if we could witness anything.  We also used the I/R thermometer to see if there were any odd temperature
changes.  There were a few times where the temperature rose by several degrees.  Shortly after that Trevor and
Clair both heard footsteps on the floor.  Our video and audio did not capture anything during this period.

Ladies Parlor

The shaking bed story intrigued us so we went to the ladies parlor to see if we could capture the bed shaking on
video.  We each took a separate bed, with Brad laying on the bed that is said to shake.  We turned out all of the
lights and only had our video camera on with night shot running.  Waiting....  And nothing.  Brad sat up and
realized that when you moved on the bed the whole thing would shake thanks to a loose headboard.  We recreated
all of the typical movements of a sleeping person and each toss, turn, or sudden sitting up would shake the bed.
Put yourself in the shoes of someone who is "spending the night in a haunted mansion", you go to sleep in an
unfamiliar bed.  You wake up suddenly in the middle of the night, perhaps to go potty, perhaps from an odd noise.
You jerk when you wake up and as you open our eyes, you realize the bed is shaking violently.  First thought to
come to mind, Ghosts!  We can't say that hasn't happened in that particular bed, however, upon our investigation
we believe the shaking bed is caused from a loose headboard.

Balcony Ghost

This particular story was kind of fun to investigate.  The story is that you can sometimes see the spirit of Constance
Adams on the nonexistent balcony through the door.  Her image has even been captured on film... or has it?  This
particular story, all six of us worked on.  If you stand at the end of the hall near the stairs, you can see your own
reflection in the door.  Say that you are there in the dark trying to see poor Constance and one of your group
moves just in the right spot, now you see their reflection in the door.  It is a bit blurry because of the glass and you
now believe you see her spirit.  As soon as your group moves to take a picture she is gone.  This could be
because that one person who originally moved into that spot moved to get their camera out and get into a good
photo op position.  You can also capture the reflection of people standing almost anywhere in the hall when you
take a photo of the door.  Stand off to the side and the flash will not effect your photo but now tall and skinny Tom
who was standing a bit behind you now looks like poor sick Constance staring at you from the outside.  We were
able to capture 'ghostly' faces in many photos.  This is another situation where we can't say that a spirit doesn't
haunt the balcony, but we did find a logical explanation for the events that people have experienced.

The Basement

The basement was very very dark when the lights were off.  We gathered chairs together and sat at the end of the
main hall of the basement.  The hopes were to be able to see or capture the mysterious green orbs that have been
reported.  20 minutes of sitting in the tomb like darkness and frigid cold and nothing other than some odd noises,
which could have been the heating system, we concluded the basement leg of the basement investigation.

The Barn

As I said previously, we did not go to the barn in our tour, however we did go out to investigate the barn.  The story
is that a bounty hunter, possibly a posse of bounty hunters, had came to the house to try to capture runaway
slaves and after being sent away, was chased down by some farmhands and was drug to the barn.  There was a
"trial" and the man or men were hung in the barn.  This is local legend and there is no documentation to support
this theory.  We also want to point out that if there was vigilante justice resulting in the death of someone at the
home of the most affluent family in town, especially involving runaway slaves, there probably wouldn't be any
documentation.  However, the 'trap door' that the man was supposedly hung through is a door/hole that is used for
hay bales.  So it is likely that the only thing to fall through that area was hay or a careless farm hand.  However,
there has been reported that you can sometimes see the body of the bounty hunter swinging in the hangman's
noose in the barn.  We took video, audio, and photos and had no luck capturing his presence.  Due to the severe
temps we did not stay outside very long.  We were able to capture several photos to use as examples of false orbs
as it was snowing.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we did have a few personal experiences that we could not explain.  We did not obtain any evidence
that we can stamp at 100% paranormal.  We do plan on making more attempts at capturing something paranormal
at Prospect Place.  The home is of great historic significance.  I do recommend scheduling a tour there when you
can.  All of the money collected from tours, day-night-ghost, it goes in to restoring this home.  But be aware that
there may be a wait to get in to see the home since the airing of the episode of Ghost Hunters featuring Prospect
Place.
