Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark Ohio
There are two reportedly haunted
graves in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in
Newark Ohio.

One of them is that at the Baker
mausoleum you can hear knocking
and screams from within.

The other is that a grave of a child, will
changed directions if you look away
and then look back.

Clair, Brad, Angel, and Rob decided to
investigate on a warm fall afternoon.
We first went to the Baker mausoleum.  There were pieces from broken statues scattered around
the door.  The photo at the top of the page is the face of the remaining statue.

Rob, Brad, and Angel started to look around the building.  Angel listened with her hear pressed
against the door to see if she could hear any knocking or screams.  All that was heard was wind
blowing, though the broken window on the East side of the building.

We believe the broken window explains the knocking and the screams.  The wind blowing in the
building does create a noise which could be mistaken for a scream.  It also causes all of the trash
and other broken things in the room to be blown around, which would cause knocking sounds as
these things banged against walls.
The other story is story of the child's grave which is said to change directions.  The story is not
specific about how it changes directions.  It never says if the whole stone is said to move or just
the face of the child on the headstone.

We took several photos from several angles and at no time did the headstone appear to move.
However, the eyes did seem to move as if the child were watching you.  This is easily explained.
The shadows move depending on where you stand and can give the illusion that the eyes are
moving.
